Nan Li, doctoral research assistant, is currently working in the area of Human Computer Interaction for learning at the CHILI Lab of EPFL, Switzerland. He creates and evaluates new learning technologies that aim at enhancing students' learning experiences. These efforts often lie in emerging interaction modalities such as touch interfaces, ambient interaction as well as the recent online learning innovation — MOOCs. Beyond his immediate background in computer science, his work often incorporates aspects of interaction design, cognitive science and psychology, statistical learning and (big) data analytics. He has strong ambition to make everyday user interfaces more user-friendly, intuitive and intelligent.
